Juridical university He graduated from the Internatio- nal Department of the Law Faculty of the Leningrad State University in 1975

Following the collapse of the East German regi- me,he was recalled to the USSR.

His law-and-order image soon raised his popularity. He was elected President of Russia in March,2000.

He is keen on judo and mountain skiing.

He supports sports,arts,science and literature in the country.

Putin is popular among the young people.

People respect him because he he helps and supports them.

In 2008 he became a leader of the main political party of Russia. And was named the Man of the Year.
