Significant dates of the Russian Navy

January 10th. Combat Unit Mechanical Engineers Day 5. On this date, the corps of the engineering and technical formation of the Russian Navy was created in 1855.
January 15. Day of the commanders-in-chief of the headquarters, the Navy of the Russian Federation. The holiday was founded by admiral-generals of the navy of the Russian Federation in 1996 with a reference to the end of the 30s, when the main naval headquarters of the Soviet Union existed.

May 13 - Day of foundation of the Black Sea Navy of Russia. This date is inextricably linked with the history of Sevastopol and is a milestone in the more than 200-year history of the fleet.
May 18 Formation of the Baltic Fleet.
May 21st. In 1731, the Russian Pacific Fleet was formed. Feast of the founding of the naval unit in the Far East. The “youngest” fleet of Russia is less than 300 years old, but glorious deeds and great discoveries are already inscribed in its chronicle.

Namely, on this day, an expedition of navigators Ivan Fedorovich Kruzenshtern and Yuri Fedorovich Lisyansky was sent, during which the cartography of the Pacific Ocean was compiled.
