Once born, the tradition associated with the sacred ceremony of hoisting the Naval flag in the morning on the ships of the Russian fleet never died.

It gained strength and flourished on the ships of the Russian Imperial Fleet and amazed those around with the brilliance of refined movements, the melodiousness of the performed signals, the majestic modesty of the St. Andrew's flag and guis floating into the sky. Traditionally, only in the Russian fleet, admirals, officers and sailors gave the highest honors to the Naval flag, removing their headdress in front of it.
